They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and what’s better than having a James Beard Award-winning chef cooking it for you?
In a new series, America Cooks with Kids, we bring world-renowned chefs together with kitchen-savvy kids for cooking lessons the whole family can enjoy.
Emily Luchetti is one of America’s most famous and respected pastry chefs. As Chief Pastry Officer for the Big Night Restaurant Group, her fresh, lively, and creative desserts have earned her multiple James Beard Awards — a feat few have matched.

We asked Chef Luchetti to join us in the Good Housekeeping kitchens to show how breakfast can be fun, innovative, and easy. In mere minutes, she was showing us how you can make vibrant, delicious desserts using cereal, fresh fruit, ice cream, and a little creativity.
Matching her up with kid chef Gray, the pair showed how quickly these dishes come together. Gray’s safe knife-chopping skills and knowledge of food made him the perfect companion (and fast friend) for Chef Luchetti.
