America Cooks takes on Los Angeles in our latest episode, visiting the home of legendary chef Mary Sue Milliken to craft exciting, healthy Mexican cuisine in the tradition of her Border Grill restaurants. She’ll be joined by LA native Vinita Williams, who has been successful in losing over 60 pounds with the help of Weight Watchers. Recently though, Vinita’s been gaining some of the weight back, and wants to adopt healthy habits and make her food more exciting than the chicken and rice she so often turns to. Mary Sue steps in to show Vinita that Mexican cuisine can offer her plenty of low-cal options that are exciting and satisfying, teaching her a delicious charred chile relleno with homemade salsa and a hibiscus granita.
