Today, America Cooks launches America Cooks for Health — a new kind of destination for healthy, tasty, and practical cuisine.
It’s no shock that America is facing a health crisis. Over a quarter of Americans have heart disease, nearly one in ten have diabetes, and more than one in three are obese. We need to make serious change, and we need to make it now.
We believe that change starts in the kitchen. What we eat is fundamentally important to our health, our well-being, and our sense of happiness and security.
In partnership with our friends at Lifescript, one of America’s leading health and wellness publications, we are lending our voice to that cause with America Cooks for Health. It’s a new destination for articles, recipes, and interviews featuring some of America’s best chefs imparting tried and true advice for cooking and eating with various health conditions.
Each month we’ll tackle a new topic, sometimes aligned with major health awareness months. In October, like many others, we’re addressing the urgent cause of breast cancer, speaking with leading chefs like Michelle Bernstein, Chad Sarno, and Rebecca Katz to better understand how professional chefs think about food and diet in the wake of a diagnosis.
As we move forward, you’ll be able to find all of our content here on America Cooks in short form, with full articles appearing on Lifescript.com.
As always, we look forward to bringing you advice from America’s most talented and forward-thinking chefs on healthy, tasty, and practical solutions for all Americans.
